Gardening Journal — A Smart and Simple Plant Care Companion

The application was developed with a strong focus on usability, offline access, plant care tracking, multilingual support, and flexible monetization. It is suitable for users who maintain indoor plants, balcony gardens, home gardens, or larger personal plant collections.

Main Features Developed

Gardening Journal includes a complete plant management system where users can add and manage plants with information such as plant name, species, location, watering interval, favorite status, notes, and photos.

The application also provides a plant care journal. Users can record activities including watering, fertilizing, pruning, repotting, harvesting, and general observations. Each journal entry can include a date, note, plant reference, and plant health score.

A dedicated Care Schedule helps users manage upcoming gardening tasks. Watering reminders are available for free users, while Premium users can access additional reminders for fertilizing, pruning, repotting, and custom recurring plant care activities.

Android notifications have also been implemented. Users can set a default reminder time and receive scheduled plant care notifications directly on their device.

Plant Growth Timeline

One of the major features developed is the Plant Growth Timeline.

Users can save plant growth updates with:

• Date

• Plant height

• Health score

• Notes

The timeline allows users to follow how a plant changes over time. Photos can be viewed in fullscreen, edited, or deleted.

Premium users can store unlimited growth updates and access a Before & After comparison to compare older and newer plant photos, height changes, and health progress.

Statistics & Insights

Gardening Journal also includes a Statistics & Insights dashboard.

Users can review:

Offline-First Data Storage

The application is designed primarily as an offline application.

Plant information, journal entries, growth records, reminders, and preferences are stored locally on the user's device. Users can continue using the main gardening features without requiring an internet connection.

This design keeps the app simple while giving users direct control over their gardening records.

PDF and Excel Export

Gardening Journal supports data export for users who want to keep an external copy of their gardening records.

Users can export information in:

This can be useful for personal records, garden documentation, reporting, or backup purposes.

Multiple Languages

The application currently supports multiple interface languages:
